Meaning of Gratitude and love during Thanksgiving 2018

Thanksgiving at our house was always a beautiful experience.

Thanksgiving morning in our house my sister Mary and I would be so excited to watch the Macy's day parade on, when we got a glimpse of Santa at the end making the opening of the holiday season, we were so happy that he's here from the north pole! My mom would start cooking the turkey in the oven with a ham and the sweet potatoes. The aroma in our house was OMG amazing! Thanksgiving was our American tradition as many celebrate. The main part of the Thanksgiving dinner table was my father's grown up talk was about us all being grateful for everything we have in our lives and count our blessings every day. At the time we were so young that we did not really understand the meaning. We enjoyed the food and love from our family. My both parents both wanted us to understand and not lose touch that we have to be thankful everyday not just on Thanks giving but 365 days out of the year. I grew up knowing that this was the way of life during the holidays to be thankful and being grateful for all my blessings, even is I was unhappy. As the years went by, many people can get lost and lose the meaning and start get all stressed about Holiday sales, Black Friday specials, people some camp overnight to get the best deal on laptops, 4K TVs and other things. We was not what we were taught growing up in the 70s and 80s. Over the last 3-4 years the stores are now open on Thanksgiving, which takes away completely the meaning of why we spend Thanksgiving dinner as a family at the dinner table. Sure these things are wonderful and there is nothing wrong with them. Kids now a days in the USA hear Thanksgiving is coming and the first thing they think of is Black Friday shopping. Holiday Stress This is when it starts to kick in, this causes us to lose our true values of what Thanksgiving is all about and what we want to teach our children and families. We all need to start bringing gratitude back into our homes during the Holidays. Remembering what the true spirit of the holiday is, no matter where you live, what culture, background or religion you are, the spirit of gratitude is universal all over the world. It is easy to get caught up in the about things that really don't matter, but are materialistic.Thanksgiving is a day to accept everything that is in front of you. This is a good time to make a difference and start a new traditions and making it memorable. There are many different things you can do to help people who are in need this Thanksgiving. Ways to express gratitude: Expressing gratitude to everyone you meet, this will help you focus on what is good and right in your life, instead of reliving or dwelling on negatives that you may have experienced. May time we are all faced with challenges with certain family members, even our spouses and our especially Soulmates (twin flames too), this is a time not give negativity power, you have to be strong and stand up to what is truly in your heart and that is Love. This is something you have to practice on a daily basis, I like to keep a daily journal of gratitude and send positive quotes on social media. Not only just to remind myself of the gratitude I have but also to inspire others as well. Pray daily Thanking God with prayer every day for the blessings in your life, no matter what religion you are always give thanks to God. Always Count your blessings Write them down, giving thanks for everything that you have life and reading it when ever you feel down. This will remind you on what you have to be thankful for. Positive affirmations Saying positive affirmations every morning even when your not feeling positive. It happens to everyone, we are human. In order to empower your spirit, you need to be your own soul coach. You need to do this for yourself with love and cherish yourself in every area. Meditation Meditation Meditating every day and focus on what you are truly grateful for, for example, it may be a beautiful thing someone said, you ready an inspiration quote, a beautiful day or just feeling beautiful inside. Try meditating on mindfulness will help you focus on the here and now. Healthy lifestyle I am a strong advocate on health and fitness. You need to take care of yourself, and I am when you are focusing on the most vital part of being, this is my body, the vessel that holds my spirit! Eating healthy (occasional cheating is OK) and get in as much physical exercise as I can every day is not only doing good for my health but my spirit as well. This will helps you feel your best, that in return you are allowing yourself to be able to focus on positivity and everything I've mentioned in this article. This is the time to start fresh. Being thankful for everything you have, I know there may be hundreds of reasons to feel negative. Just remember the thousands of positive reasons you have to feel good about yourself. Focus on you in the here and now will help you practice positive energy and give gratitude today.
